Atinuke Osibogun-Adeleke is an interdisciplinary artist and a graduate of the University of North Texas. As the owner and lead designer of the home and body adornment brand, Zuri Perle, she channels her artistic vision into captivating creations that blend tradition with innovation.
Her artistic practice revolves around themes of personal history, connection, and identity, reflecting her journey as a Nigerian who has traversed three continents. Atinuke's work explores the deconstruction, reassembly, and hybridization of her identity through sculpture and fiber pieces. These creations seamlessly integrate the traditional culture and practices of her homeland, Nigeria, with western woodworking techniques and modern processes such as CAD, 3D printing, and CNC routing.
Atinuke's artwork has graced exhibitions at renowned institutions and galleries including the African American Museum in Dallas, Daisha Board Gallery Dallas, Craighead Green Gallery Dallas, Touchstone Gallery in Washington D.C., Atlantic Gallery in NYC, and Ellington-White Contemporary Gallery in NC. In 2023 she was selected as a new futures recipient at the Other Art Fair run by Saatchi Art, the world's leading online gallery for original art.
Her accessories have made appearances on the runways of prestigious events like New York Fashion Week and Kansas City Fashion Week. They have also been featured in publications such as Italiano L'Orafo, Weekly Style Magazine, Fox 4KC, Say Yes to the Dress, and CNN Africa. In 2020, Atinuke was honored to be among the 50 artists selected by New York City Jewelry Week for their "Here We Are" initiative, which spotlights BIPOC jewelry artists.
